"Pilar Soberón (Lasarte, 1971) is a consummated multi-discipline artist interested in every area of investigation and procedure in which the artistic process and experience are fundamental. To express herself, the artist uses photography, performance, drawing, sculpture, painting, prints, video, sound, the wind, the air, aromas, a variety of seeds and artistic exploration with her own body, etc.
From her hikes and walks through nature, she proceeds like a biologist-geologist to capture the scientific behaviour of all the elements that attract her attention; she keeps everything as a deposit to create an archive on which to feed as an artist. The themes of Pilar Soberón's work are cyclical and feed on herself, which is one of the most important aspects. Her work is constantly mutating and cyclical, as expressed by the philosophers Gilles Deleuze and Jacques Derrida in their concept of simultaneous eternal return, repetition and difference."
